About Dr. Wood
Dr. Summer Wood is a dedicated and experienced dentist committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. She earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the Medical College of Georgia.
Since 2013, Dr. Wood has proudly owned and operated Ocean View Dental, where she has built a thriving practice centered on excellence, compassion, and community. As a leader, she has mentored and trained a team of 18 women—many of whom are mothers—fostering a supportive environment that encourages both professional growth and work-life balance.
Dr. Wood has advanced training in dental implant placement using the X-Guide system, a state-of-the-art navigation technology that provides real-time guidance to enhance the precision and accuracy of implant positioning, angle, and depth. She has also completed additional training in the fabrication and delivery of oral sleep appliances, offering effective, non-invasive treatment options for patients suffering from sleep apnea.
Outside of the office, Dr. Wood enjoys staying active by playing tennis and spending time with her family, especially cheering on her children at their baseball games. Her commitment to her patients, team, and family reflects her passion for making a positive impact both in and out of the dental chair.
